New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Sometimes you need a fresh start, a new beginning.

It seems many areas of my life have gotten exactly that in the past eighteen months or so:  We moved to a new house in a new town.  We began pursuing several new endeavors on several new fronts.  The change has been hard, but really, really good.

And in the midst of all the change I kept looking at my blog and thinking it needed a new beginning, too.

And so the work began.  It’s been an incredibly long process, one that still isn’t complete!  I’m still going through old posts and deleting and updating.  I finally added some of the legal jargon I should have had all along, and many photographs I couldn’t properly, thoroughly source have been removed, which was necessary, but has left some of my posts looking a little sad and dry.  Sorry for that.  The work continues.  Please be gracious enough to understand that this is a blog still under construction…

I haven’t responded to comments, (one of the cardinal sins of blogging,) and I’ve answered almost zero emails.  Wow.  Sorry for that one, too.  Interacting with my readers has been for me one of the most fulfilling things about blogging.  For a long time, life was honestly too busy for it, but even as life began settling back into a routine, I kept waiting and hoping there would come a moment when everything just fell into place and I would know it was the perfect time to start blogging again.

Didn’t happen.

But I believe with all my heart God gives us gifts and talents and heart desires, and if we wait until circumstances are perfect to begin acting upon those things – nurturing them and developing them and putting them to good use — it will likely never happen.

So I’m starting again.  I’m blogging at a new address with a new name wearing a new face.

And I hope you’ll be visiting me at My New Kentucky Home. 😊
