My New Kentucky Home

A blog about faith and family, home and homeschooling.

Disclosure, Privacy Policy, and Other Legal Gobbledygook

Everything on this blog is written by me and is my property.  That means you can’t borrow any part of it without attributing it to me and providing a nice little link back to my blog.  Anything else is stealing.  And I hope your mama taught you that stealing isn’t nice.

The same goes for photos and graphics.  If you have any question what is appropriate use and what isn’t, feel free to contact me and I’ll repeat this same information to you while trying not to sound snarky.  Because it really isn’t that complicated.  Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you and try to claim it as your own.  Copyright laws exist to protect even wee little blogs like mine.

Also know that I write my opinion and from my personal life experience.  I don’t claim to be a medical, educational, financial, or domestic expert.  I’m just a mom telling you what I think about something or sharing what worked for me and my family or what didn’t.

You get that, right?  So say I write a blog post about how drinking prune juice makes me happy.  You might try drinking prune juice and discover it doesn’t make you happy at all!  Sorry, but you can’t sue me for that.   I mean, I would never write something like that because I don’t think prune juice could ever make anybody happy, but you get my point.  I write my opinion.  That’s it.  If you need expert advice, whatever the subject, better look somewhere else.

Disclosure Policy

If I can make a little money off my blog, awesome!  I’ll probably use it to buy more books.  Because I need more books.  Always.

But that means my blog may contain paid ads and affiliate links.  If you click on one of them, I may make a little money from it.  Thanks for that!  And these companies might use cookies so they can target ads to you in the future.

Lots of bloggers do reviews.  Honestly, I don’t much like doing them except for products I’m already in love with, but there might be a time I am paid or somehow compensated for a review.  If so, I’ll tell you that up front. And, rest assured, I’m not going to lie and tell you a bunch of garbage about a product I don’t believe in.

Privacy Policy

Don’t worry:  I’m not selling your email address to anybody.  This blog doesn’t share personal info with third parties and it doesn’t store info about your visit to this blog other than to possibly analyze and optimize your content and reading experience through the use of cookies.  If you don’t like cookies (the cyber kind) you can turn them off at any time by changing your browser settings.  (I can’t do that for you.  Sorry.)

That said, I’m not responsible for republished content from my blog that was used without my permission.  That’s some of the stealing I was talking about in the first paragraph.

This privacy policy is subject to change without notice.  I don’t know why it would — It’s just one of those bits of legalese I’m supposed to add in here.  So if you’re really worried about it, just check back regularly.  Should be exciting, bless your heart.
